NEW blog!

So, for some reason, I've been thinking about Christmas lately. I know, I know - - WHY, Amy?? Why torture yourself with the impending stressful holiday season!?

So I decided to start blogging about it.

Because, you know as well as I do, when you feel you're a self-proclaimed expert (or you THINK you are), you must begin to blog about it, so others can marvel at your witty posts and all-knowing knowledge about knowledgeable things.

So I did.

Come visit me at my new blog, Get Ready for Christmas! It's gonna be a hoot!!

GREAT kids' room idea!

So, I'm browsing Martha Stewart's website, when I accidentally ran across this page (accidental, I say! I swear it!!) and decided it was too good to forget. This page is all about a "dream desk" for your child's bedroom! I love it because it's a desk, storage, and a nice, comfy spot to do homework, all in ONE! And, it doesn't take up too much space. That nifty seat just slides right underneath the desk!!

You just gotta love THAT!

So, I'm gonna put this niblet of an idea HERE, just so I don't forget it.

Oh! My baby sis, Mandy, is building a house. BUILDING! I'm so envious. She has some very cute plans that her hubby and her finalized, and they're gonna break ground in a week or two. She has asked me for advice on decorating, colors, fabrics, etc...

You know I can't resist that!! I'm soooo excited!!! I'm living vicariously through her. She gets all the good stuff!!

I think I'll start posting some cool ideas here. Then, she can look at them at her leisure... Hmmm. . . ideas growing. . . and growing. . .

Not even gonna Apologize...

I've been super busy, friends, and that's all. Not that I haven't thought about updating, but life is getting in the way.

I'll catch you up later - HA!!

Anyways, here is something I want you to just enjoy - take a couple minutes and enjoy the Amazing history of Amazing Grace.

Peace.

What a CUTE store!!

I have to stop what I'm doing. RIGHT NOW. I must post this before I forget it.

How cute is this store?

Queen Bee is out of Nashville, TN. Now, I haven't had the pleasure of gliding across its threshold, but BELIEVE ME. The next opportunity I get, I'm THERE.

This is the cutest little store EVER! I love all these items. I want this girl to decorate my house. With all this cute stuff. And I believe my house would become cute. Just because she was in it.

Ahh. . . I just LOVE cuteness!! LOL!!!

Creative Thinking...

Why is it that when I am ready to be creative, there's so many other things that get in the way??? I am in overwhelm, people, so this post will be short.

Lots have happened since January - - I am the event coordinator of a tradeshow we're having in the RSEC. It's called the Murray Bridal Show, and it will be truly amazing. If you live in my area, you really need to stop by. Weeruns Consignment will be selling clothing for kids, toys for kids, and lots of other stuff on the upper level, and the Bridal Show will be on the lower level. If you are a bride, or know a bride, PLEASE stop by. We have a really great tradeshow for you! FREE ADMISSION!! You can read more about it on its own blog here.

I have also taken on the role of Children's Choir co-director. I really do enjoy working with those kids! The kids ages range K-6th grades, and they are truly talented! We did a special at Church back in January, and are gearing up for "5th Sunday Night Singing" at church in March. I've encouraged the kids to step out of their comfort zones, and really start singing for God. Their enthusiasm is overwhelming. I love to see kids on fire for Jesus. What amazing things God can do!

My hubby gave me a diamond necklace for Valentine's Day!! He hasn't given me diamonds since our 5th year anniversary, which was about nine years ago!! I'm very picky when it comes to jewelry, so he has managed to steer clear of buying me such finery, but he went out on a limb, and did a phenominal job! I'll post a pic later.

Miss Peyton's birthday is next weekend, and I've not gotten her invites in the mail yet. Guess what I'm doing after this??????? She wants a "hello kitty" birthday party. If you have any ideas to throw in my direction, I'm all ears. I'll post more about this party later as well.

Well, that's a snippet of Amy's life. I hate posting without pictures, but hang in there - you'll see some very soon!!

Anyone for a puppet show?

Last weekend, I've finally mustered up enough energy to pull down the Christmas tree. I know, I know. DON'T hate me. I'm a little mad at myself, too, but I couldn't help it this year! Brad, the kids and I celebrated New Year's Day at a cottage in Kenlake, thereby messing up my year-end routine of having the tree down before the new year.

Oh well. At least, I had all the ornaments and lights off of it, right after the first of the year. It didn't help that every time we came home, Peyton yelled, "CAN WE LIGHT THE TREE?"

Anyways, I was sitting at the computer, reading other bloggers who really WRITE in their blogs, when all of a sudden, I see this:

This is my daughter, hunkered down in a worthless attempt at concealing herself behind her booster seat, with a Christmas ornament she made in Mrs. Gretchen's class. The little vixen must've stolen it from the tree while I wasn't looking...

Oh well. It's all good fun in January. Those little tokens of decorations you forgot to put away sure come back to bite you in the tree-trunk! Now, where is that Brendan, you say? He's at Little Dribblers, of course!

Isn't he CUTE!? I get all goose-bumped at his little stroll around the basketball floor of my Alma Mater. Man, this gymnasium has shrunk.

And, NO, I haven't gotten bigger.

Well, maybe a few pounds. . . here and there. . .

Anyone for some FREE scrapbooking online classes!?

My friend Tracie from TN just posted about some free Big Picture Scrapbooking classes, and I thought I'd share them as well (since I've just signed up for them, and I know 85% of the people looking at this LOVE scrapbooking):

One is called "Get a LOAD of this!" and you are challenged to create a layout a day.

The other is called "Kid Perspective" and it's all about adding your kid's voice into your pages! Too cool!
Sign up for that one here.

The last one is called ScrapHappy and it's by Stacy Julian (that's her sittin' there all cute, above).
She basically just gives you a pep talk, I think, about scrapping.
Boy do I need one right about now! Sign up for it.... here.
